As promised, here’s DC’s Youtube interview with Bun E. Carlos, drummer and founding member of Cheap Trick. It was recorded at Mary’s Place in Rockford, Illinois, which is hometown to Carlos and — your’s truly.
It’s very extensive, running for more than two hours. If you pay close attention, you can even learn how to play the cowbell. You can never have enough cowbell. Right?
So, grab some munchies and your favorite libation, and prepare to listen to the laid back conversation. Conducted while sitting at the bar, it’s highlighted by several current and vintage videos. Carlos recounts everything from his introduction to the drums to being inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, and the release of his first solo album “Greetings from Bunezuela.”
Carlos plays Mary’s Place on the first Monday of each month with his “Monday Night Band.” There’s video of them performing as well. Enjoy. I certainly did. Give it a spin.
